The Knights of Columbus vocation essay contest in the IHM school grades 5 thru 8 was completed. The best essay from each class were selected, and forwarded to the State K of C to compete against other Catholic schools. The
The Knights continued their monthly prayer vigil to end abortion in front of Planned Parenthood on 2/11. They meet the 1st Saturday of each month. During Lent, we will be meeting each Saturday morning to pray together
Our ‘Souper Bowl’ food collection took place last weekend (2/5-6), and was very successful. Over 1000 pounds of non-perishables was collected and given to the Holy Rosary food pantry. Also $1300 was collected which will be presented to IHM Outreach
A great time was had by all at our Family Christmas party. The food was good, the crafts were fun, the entertainment was enjoyable, and of course Santa was a great hit with all children, young and old. A special thanks to all
The Santa Maria Council was present in full force one night in December to help prepare Christmas stocking for our soldiers. We are proud to work with a wonderful local charity, Stockings for Soldiers. See below for the official statement
For Christmas, the council adopted 3 veterans families associated with the Elsmere Veterans Hospital. Over $500 in gifts were contributed to them.
‘Keep Christ in Christmas’ Christmas card sale was the weekend after Thanksgiving. Along with the Christmas cards, the Knights sold a Christmas ornament having an image of the IHM stained glass window. The cards and ornaments were also on sale at the
